Post-Treatment Care

After your orthodontic treatment, you’ll enter the retention phase to ensure your hard work will not go to waste. While your teeth will be in new positions after treatment, the bone and tissues supporting them will have yet to adapt to these new positions. Wearing retainers will prevent teeth from shifting back to their old alignment. Dr. Yue will provide detailed instructions on wearing and caring for your retainer during your fitting appointment – and if you follow them carefully, your new smile will last you the rest of your life!

Treatment Options

Traditional Metal Braces

The most popular treatment we offer, traditional metal braces use stainless steel brackets and wires to move the teeth. They’re durable and reliable, and modern braces are thinner, lighter, and more comfortable than those of the past, making for a more aesthetically appealing option.

Clear Braces

These work the same basic way as metal braces, but instead of stainless steel, the brackets are made from a clear ceramic composite material. This allows the brackets to blend in with teeth, making for a less noticeable form of braces. The only drawback is that clear braces are slightly more fragile than metal braces.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces use stainless steel brackets and wires just like metal braces, but they’re completely invisible. Why? The brackets are mounted to the inside of the teeth! This makes them the only orthodontic treatment that is truly invisible from the outside, but they’re also more expensive and take more getting used to than metal braces.

Invisalign®

Invisalign does away with brackets and wires entirely, instead using a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten the teeth. These aligners fit directly onto the teeth, are virtually invisible when worn, and can be removed to eat, brush, and floss. This makes Invisalign one of the most discreet and convenient treatments on the market and one of our most popular options for adult treatment.

iTero Scanner

This scanner allows us to create a computerized 3D image of your teeth so that we can plan your tooth movements throughout your entire treatment plan. The iTero scanner system digitally captures the contours of your teeth, providing an accurate digital orthodontic scan in just minutes.
